FAQS
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED THERAPY?
People consider therapy for lots of different reasons; people may be having problems sleeping, or they may have experienced something they have found traumatic. Â Generally, most people choose therapy because something in their life is not how they want it to be, and they either want to make a change or find a way of managing the symptoms in a different way.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Each session will last for 50 - 60 minutes although in certain circumstances longer sessions can be agreed. It varies from person to person how many sessions people have, but it can be anything between 5-20 (12 as average)
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I CONTACT YOU?
I aim to respond to people within 48 hours. I'm happy to answer any questions, or have a brief discussion on the phone. We can then arrange an assessment (online or face to face) if you wish to consider your treatment options with me.
WHAT IF I CANNOT MAKE IT TO A THERAPY ROOM?
I work with people individually to find a plan that works for them. I am happy to do therapy over the phone, or via video or text therapy if helpful; and can discuss the possibility of home visits where appropriate. I find some people find it easier to talk while walking, so I'm happy to offer walking therapy - weather dependent.
